Will a patient lift fit beneath a low bed or storage bed?
It may be unsuitable if its legs cannot enter beneath the frame or position the spreader bar as the transfer requires. A low bed and a bed with no underneath clearance are different constraints. Measure the lowest obstruction along the base’s route, including crossbars, drawers and motors. Mattress height does not answer this question.

Will the lift fit under a storage bed?
Measure the actual clearance under the bed frame, including rails, drawers and feet on the side used for the transfer. Compare it with the base-leg height and length in the exact lift manual. A solid divan base may prevent the legs from approaching the person; do not compensate with an improvised lift from too far away.

The manufacturer listing states overall dimensions of 122 × 63 × 130 cm (length × width × height), 55.5–80 cm between the legs, a 127 cm turning radius and a lifting range of 90–174 cm. The lift maximum is 180 kg. It also lists a 12.5 cm base-to-floor distance; that figure alone does not establish the clearance needed under every bed. The supplied standard sling is listed as 85 cm high, 88 cm wide and 47 cm between its lower straps. Confirm sling size, rating and compatibility for the person and transfer before ordering.
Write down each measurement and model, and ask the seller for any missing dimension in writing. The transfer assessment must also say whether one or two carers are needed.
The boundary not to cross
Do not buy on weight capacity alone. Check clearance under the bed and chair, door width, sling compatibility and posture. A stand aid may be more practical for a cooperative weight-bearing user.
Seek clinical or occupational-therapy advice for new severe pain, an open wound, a recent fall, sudden weakness, breathing difficulty or inability to control head and trunk. An online guide cannot assess those risks remotely.
